Award winning playwright Tony Kushner creates lush layers of illusion in this tale of a father seeking the help of a magician in his search for his long-banished son. Based loosely on “L’Illusion Comique” written by Pierre Corneille in 1636, the play is filled with conjured visions, unlikely transformations and unexpected twists of time and fate.
Performances are at 8 p.m. on Thursday-Saturday, May 23-25 and May 30-June 1 and at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2. Tickets are $21 regular, $18 senior, $6 students. Subscribers to three or more plays receive a discounted rate of $17 regular and $15 senior. Tickets are available at the door or by calling the SOU Performing Arts Box Office at 552-6348.
