The
Schneider Museum of Art invites you to join us this Thursday, January 10 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM for the opening
receptions for two new art exhibitions!
Stop by to meet the artists participating in Seeing 8, the 2013 SOU
Art Faculty Exhibition, and Lyle Matoush, who is presenting his work in Then
and Now.
Seeing 8 features the work of the Southern
Oregon University Department of Art Faculty.
Artists include Marlene Alt, David Bithell, Cody Bustamante, Miles
Inada, Peg Sjogren, Robin Strangfeld, Tracy Templeton and Visiting Professor
Kathleen Murney.
Opening
at the same time is Then and Now, an exhibition of prints and pastel works for sale
by Lyle
Matoush, Professor Emeritus of Art at Southern Oregon University. Fifty percent of the proceeds will be donated
to the Jime and Lyle Matoush Fund for
Printmaking at Southern Oregon University.
The show will be held in the Thorndike and Retzlaff Galleries at the
Center for the Visual Arts, adjacent to the Schneider Museum of Art.
Seeing 8 runs from Friday, January 11,
until February 28, 2013, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM from Monday through Saturday. Then and Now will be on view Monday
through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, from January 7 through January 25.
