10/11:
11am-2pm: National Coming Out Day Celebration!
Coming out is not a one-time
event...we make the decision to come out (or not) throughout our lives.
Help us celebrate the acts of
coming out and raise awareness about issues affecting our LGBTQ communities.
Learn more about the work being done to achieve equality and about the queer
rights movement! Stevenson Union Courtyard.
6pm-8pm: Trained in the Ways of Men documentary followed by Q&A with Sylvia Guerrero, mother of Gwen
Araujo. Meese Auditorium.
10/12:
All day: Finishing touches for our SOU float! Meet at the QRC to make
posters, decorations, and help us get ready to show our pride!
7pm-11pm: Southern Oregon Pride Ball @ Historic Ashland Armory (the QRC has
limited FREE tickets for SOU students--call
for more information).
**Don't
forget to get your Pride shirt from the QRC today! We have a limited number. We
are asking for a donation of $10 for these amazing t-shirts. Can’t pay the full
amount? Come talk to us--no one goes shirtless!**
10/13:
PRIDE Parade! March with us! Meet at 10:15am near Siskiyou and Union Street--look for the SOU
Pride shirts. Let's make our contingency the biggest and loudest! Parade starts at 11am.
11am-5pm: Pride Booths @ the Plaza
and Bandshell in Lithia Park.
11am: PRIDE
Parade!
Noon: Music, festivities @ Lithia Park Bandshell.
2pm: SOU Pride Potluck in the Park! Meet up at Garfield
Park to relax after a full day of PRIDE. Connect with new and old friends,
eat some yummy food, and play a game or two of sand volleyball…
