Ecology Center of the Siskiyous (Ecos) and the Health Promotion Office of the Student Health & Wellness Center are partnering for a series of workshops this winter term. We are taking an empowerment approach as we want students, faculty, staff, & community members to learn health benefits of certain foods, and also how to produce them.
Our first event of this term was a fun workshop all about Sprouting. This time we will focus on Fermented Foods. Ecos coordinator, Brittany Depew, will demonstrate how to make a simple batch of saurkraut. We'll also briefly discuss the history and health benefits of Fermented Foods, and possibly talk about the process of making Kimchi. Hope you can join us!!
